Gifford Grant restricts its partnerships for this activity to a very small number of highly competent commercial companies. The reason for this is the huge potential for disruption if the move is insufficiently resourced, or corners are cut with labour or vehicles.
Gifford Grant has available purpose built warehousing for safe and clean storage of equipment and documents with the protection of 24 hour security. We also have an IT based inventory system for rapid retrieval and collection of material.
A dedicated project manager is allocated to the move and will meet our client’s appointed contact at an early stage of the fitting out of the new premises in order to properly plan and co-ordinate the operation.
Skilled teams of operatives are allocated and will normally commence work packing office equipment, documentation and machinery the day before the move, which normally takes place over a weekend in order to ensure no loss of working time for the client company.
IT equipment is also packed specially and networks can be powered down and hardware decommissioned and then re-commissioned during the move weekend ready for immediate operation on the Monday morning.
