Gomaco - Refurbishment of New European Headquarters - Witney, Oxfordshire
After a long search for premises, Gomaco secured the freehold on two industrial units with a secure yard in Witney, Oxfordshire. The 1960's buildings needed complete internal and external refurbishment. Gifford Grant was selected to carry out the project due to its ability to meet critical time scales and handle all aspects of the design and management project with a budget minded approach.

The buildings were 'knocked through' to create one property and provide vehicular access throughout. The existing small first floor structure was demolished to make way for a new mezzanine spanning the front of half of the property. A roller shutter was removed to allow a new bespoke entrance, including new doors and first storey height glazing, to be installed. Replacement windows and doors throughout and external redecoration completed the exterior 'face lift'.
Further external work included siting a petrol interceptor to the yard, extending the concrete surface of the yard, fitting an additional roller shutter to the side elevation including ramp, clearing trees and shrubs and installing security fencing.
The new ground and first floor offices provide well appointed work space and incorporates cellular offices, open plan area, boardroom, new teapoint and staff canteen and new WC facilities. New air conditioning systems were introduced to all working areas.
The workshop was completely refurbished and redecorated internally. Compressed air and exhaust extract facilities have been installed along with a bespoke dust curtain between the two workshop areas.
