Gifford Grant Championship 2010
Another fun and challenging golf day, enjoyed by all. Chobham Golf Club looked and played beautifully in the sunshine and its staff looked after our guests, providing breakfast and lunch.
Gifford Grant Championship 2009
What a great day we had at Puttenham Golf Club near Guildford, Surrey. They really did think of everything and greeted all of our players with coffee, bacon rolls and a smile. A welcome sight for many who had travelled long distances to take part, some as far as Kent, Essex and London!
Players started to tee off at 9:00am under a heavy layer of fog making visibility very poor on the 1st. By the 3rd the fog had lifted and the sun shone brightly for the rest of the day, making what is a beautiful course even better on such a lovely spring day.
The standard of play was high, and clearly many had been secretly practicing for the competition. Puttenham is a tough course, but everyone rose to the challenge with some excellent golf being played by all. There could only be one ‘Champion’, but a number of other prizes were also awarded.
