Hartley Wintney Golf Club - Clubhouse Refurbishment - Hartley Wintney, Hampshire
Following a successful marketing campaign to increase its membership numbers,
Hartley Wintney Golf Club wanted to update the clubhouse to create a smart, relaxing, modern facility.

The new lighting scheme had to take into account the numerous activities the clubhouse is used for. A new dimmer system was installed to enable full control of the lux levels for either playing bridge, a quiet coffee after a gruelling 18 holes, or dancing the night away...
The multitude of different light fittings and redundant grilles had to be removed, and the ceiling patched, taped and jointed to fill the holes. The dated dark green window frames were undercoated with Zinsser stain blocker to enable the powder coated aluminium frames to be sealed before painting.
The scheme for the decoration and soft seating was heavily influenced by the wish to create an atmosphere where all family members would feel comfortable. The colour scheme was based on Farrow & Ball colour palettes.
The Chairman said: "The company worked closely with the Club’s design team to agree the scope of the works and to choose the palettes for the paint and upholstery fabric. Gifford Grant then transformed the concept into the reality of a refreshed clubhouse which meets fully the requirements posed by different functions throughout the year. This transformation was achieved within time and budget and in a manner which enabled the club to continue providing a service to members within the clubhouse during the contract period."
